Traditional communication apps rely heavily on your personal cellular phone number to route messages and identify your account. This forces you to expose your real-world identity to data brokers and centralized trackers.

UTurn completely eliminates this vulnerability by assigning you a sovereign, isolated identifier.

Your Sovereign Network Identity

The moment your account initialization wraps up, our network generates a permanent, unique 11-digit UTurn Number for your profile. It uses a clean, recognizable pattern:

12-123-123456

This string functions as your complete, standalone phone number exclusively inside the UTurn ecosystem. It handles all network routing for your incoming voice calls, video streams, and encrypted text threads without ever connecting to a physical SIM card or cellular carrier registry.

Finding and Copying Your Number

Your identifier is kept front and center so you can access it instantly. It is prominently displayed in two different areas of the app:

  • The Home Screen: Visible immediately upon launch on your main information dashboard.
  • The Settings Screen: Located as the absolute first item at the top of your settings tree.

Right below the 11-digit string in both locations, you will see a quiet indicator that reads: “tap to copy.” Simply tap the number with your finger, and the client app will instantly save the string to your device clipboard for effortless sharing.

Connecting with Your Network

Because UTurn values zero-trust privacy boundaries, our software rejects standard smartphone address-book scraping. We never look at, read, or upload your phone’s global contact directory.

To build your secure circle inside the app, simply copy and pass your 11-digit UTurn Number to your family, friends, or trusted network colleagues.

Once they type your string into their local, sandboxed contact manager, they can drop secure messages and start encrypted voice calls directly to your device.
