User Profiles and Actions
How to view user details, save contacts, start calls, or block and report users.
Whenever you tap on a person’s name or profile photo from your chats list or your call history, it opens their Profile Details screen. This screen serves as your central hub for interacting with that specific user.
Reading Profile Information
At the top of the details screen, you can view the basic identification markers for the user:
- Profile Photo: Displays the image the user has chosen for their account (if they have uploaded one).
- UTurn Number: Shows their unique 11-digit identifier.
- Contact Name: If you have saved this person to your local contacts, the custom name you gave them will appear here.
- Profile Name: Displays the public display name the user chose for themselves in their own settings.
Quick Action Blocks
Directly below the profile information, you will see three large vertical buttons. Tapping these allows you to jump straight into communication:
- Audio: Initiates a standard, secure voice call to the user.
- Video: Initiates a secure video call to the user.
- Message: Takes you instantly back to your chat window with them.
Managing Your Contact List
Depending on whether you have already saved this user, you will see options to manage how they appear in your app:
- Add Contact / Edit Contact: If the user is new, tap Add Contact to assign a custom nickname to their 11-digit number. If they are already saved, tap Edit Contact to update their nickname.
- Delete Contact: Removes the custom nickname and deletes the user from your local contact list.
Interaction and Safety Controls
At the bottom of the details menu, you can manage your local storage and privacy boundaries with that user:
- Clear Chat: Wipes out all the messages inside your conversation but keeps the empty chat row active on your main Chats list.
- Delete Chat: Completely erases all messages and removes the conversation row from your main Chats list entirely.
- Block: Permanently blocks the user. They will no longer be able to call you or send you messages.
- Report: Flags the user for violations. Tapping this allows you to select a specific reason—such as harassment, scam/fraud, or impersonation—and securely sends the report to UTurn for review.
