Blocking and Restrictions
How to view and manage your restricted lists for primary contacts and the Connect radar.
UTurn provides tools to completely cut off unwanted interactions or spam profiles. To ensure seamless control across different areas of the application, our architecture maintains two separate, isolated restriction indexes.
To review or modify your lists at any time, select the Settings tab from the bottom navigation bar, tap Privacy, and navigate down to the Blocking section.
The Primary Blocked List
The Blocked subdirectory holds entries for standard communication channels. If a profile is placed on this list, they lose the ability to establish text threads, transmit files, or route incoming voice and video calls to your unique 11-digit UTurn Number.
- Locate the Blocked option under the main Blocking section.
- Tap the row to open your complete catalog of restricted primary profiles.
- Scroll through the list to review the historical entries currently restricted from contacting your handle.
The Connect Blocked List
Because the Connect ecosystem operates independently of your permanent contact circle, it features its own sandboxed list called Connect blocked. This list tracks users you encounter on the proximity radar whom you wish to bar from local discovery or ephemeral message requests.
- Locate the Connect blocked option under the main Blocking section.
- Tap the row to open the registry of profiles blocked specifically within the radar infrastructure.
- This list allows you to filter out local entries without cluttering or altering your primary communications directory.
Unblocking Profiles
Both restriction lists allow you to lift blocks and restore normal account accessibility at any point.
- Tap into either the Blocked or Connect blocked menu interface.
- Find the specific user profile entry you wish to restore.
- Tap Unblock.
Once confirmed, the profile can once again view your active network indicators and attempt communication strings normally.
